We were delighted to be involved in the Bailiwick in Bloom exhibition. SULA Gallery’s Spring/Summer exhibition filled the gallery with floral imagery. Each artist created an artwork with a botanical element.
We created a new pair of our recycled plectrum earrings. The plectrums, cut from floral themed store cards have been embellished with rubies and finished with our signature sterling silver handmade ear hooks.
We’re loving using pinks and green together at the moment and this was a great opportunity to combine the two. The lush greens combined with the bold pinks creates a stunning statement that stands out when worn – and of course when displayed in a frame. They might be small but they have the presence of a pair of statement earrings.
We are delighted to be a part of Guernery Art Network’s annual exhibition at StJames Concert Hall. This exhibition will run from 31st October to 8th December in St.James Stairwell exhibition space.
We also displayed a piece in the 2020 Joy exhibtion also at St.James , you can learn more by clicking here.
This year’s we reprised an old favourite of ours. This peice is title “Butterflies around a hole” . Inspired by the migration of the monarh butterfly and our impact on the planet changing the time of their migrations.
Each butterfly was cut from recycled packaging and paper, the patterns from which create the marking on the butterflies wings.
The Environment Exhibition was organised by the Guernsey Art Network at the request of the Arts Commission as a reprise of the well received Art in the Environment exhibition during the summer.
We submitted another two works inspired by Andy Goldsworthy, with a focus on butterflies.
This piece has been created our of various sweet packaging – such as easter eggs and chocolates and purple from parma viloet gin.
One of the things we love about our work is the fact that our clients approach us with random requests that are right up our street. We loved making these ring pull earrings. Almost as much as this client loves their Mythos.
Made from the ring pull of a can and with a lovely dangle stone, these earrings are one of a kind.
We love to use recycled materials in our work and we have a whole collection of recycled plastic jewellery.
In this collection we take old gift and discount cards and revamp them to plectum earrings.
The Small Pictures Exhibition, hosted by the Guernsey Art Network as part of the Skipton Art Festival 2016 was held at the Folk and Costume Museum, Saumarez Park. Housed in one of the old stables which lent a quaint atmosphere to this eclectic exhibition. Contributing artists were invited to enter pictures not exceeding 12 inches square with an open theme.
This peices is a part of our butterflies around a hole collection – this addtion is made from Bombay Sapphire packaging from our collection of found materials that we have built up over the years.
