Mondrian to the Abstract
SULA Gallery – February 2024
We were delighted to be involved with SULA Gallery’s first exhibition of the year. The gallery was filled with artworks inspired by the work of Piet Mondrian. Marking 80 years since the Dutch artist’s death.
Athene’s love of Mondrian’s work made this a perfect match. We created a new and unique pair of our recycled guitar plectrum waterfalls inspired by the shapes of Mondrian’s paintings. The earrings were then pinned through Athene’s abstracted self portrait painting on canvas. Using bold reds combined with our favourite french greys and spring greens – our own version of Mondrian’s restrained yet all encompassing primary colour palette.

Chunky Silver Chain Link Braclet
This beautiful bespoke silver chain link bracelet has a stunning textured surface.
We love to create hand textured silver – the surface just catches the light so beautifully. Like a disco ball – our absolute favourite thing. There’s always one in the fruit bowl in the kitchen if you need any extra proof. It’s a daily reminder to work hard and play hard.
This bracelet is lovely and chunky which is perfect for creating a statement.

Greenery and Purple Colour Theory Necklace 2020
This necklace is inspired by two of our colour theory essays – greenery and purple, thay can be found here and here.
This necklace is made from a combination of raw amethyst chunks and green lavastone beads. It fastens with a handmade sterling silver clasp.
The necklaces measures 21″ long.
We think the little green lavastone beads look just like little peas. This is why we showed this necklace off on Great British Pea Week. An event dedicated to promoting the pea in our meals.
Amethyst is reputed to have a calming effect and is said to bring balance to the life of the wearer.
This necklace has now been sold, however if you are interested in seeing any of the colour theory jewellery that we currently have available in our shop click here.
