Turquoise and freshwater pearl necklace with handmade clasp in 9ct gold. Strung on nylon-coated stainless steel wire.
This necklace was shown as ‘Bark and Lichen’ in my recent exhibition, and is now for sale. Part of my collection comparing the natural inspiration with the finished piece of jewellery. Here it was rough bark and soft lichen. The two textures meld together, colours blending almost like chromatophores. The pearls appear to melt out from the veining, softly bleeding chocolate.
