Frequently Asked Questions
Do you make all of the jewellery yourself?
Yes. Every piece is handmade in Guernsey by Athene using traditional jewellery-making and silversmithing techniques. There is no mass production, and each piece is individually crafted with care.
What materials do you use?
Athene uses recycled gold and silver, ethically sourced semi-precious stones, and freshwater pearls sourced from reputable suppliers. Sustainability is a core part of the brand's philosophy.
Is your jewellery hallmarked?
Yes. Gold and silver pieces that meet legal weight requirements are hallmarked by the London Assay Office. Many smaller pieces are also hallmarked where possible.
Can I commission a bespoke piece of jewellery?
Absolutely. Athene creates custom jewellery commissions and offers consultations by email, phone, or appointment to discuss your ideas and requirements.
How long will my order take?
Most orders are processed within 1–3 days. During busy periods, processing can take up to 28 days, particularly for bespoke or hallmarked items.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes. All jewellery is beautifully packaged, and complimentary gift wrapping is available. Just add a note to your order and we'll do the rest.
Do you ship throughout the UK?
Yes. Orders are shipped from Guernsey, and VAT arrangements are handled at the Post Office to help UK customers avoid additional charges on delivery.
What is your returns policy?
If you're not completely delighted with your purchase, you can return it in its original unworn condition within 21 days for a replacement or refund.
