Reflections on Occupation

Guernsey was occupied by the German forces for most of the Second World War, from 30 June 1940 until the “liberation” on 9 May 1945.

Guernsey Art’s Commission held an open competition to coincide and engage with the Heritage festivals theme of Occupation and Liberation running from 30 March until 10 May 2018.

This theme has been chosen by visit Guernsey to coincide with the film, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society which was perfect for us with our range of Potato Peel Jewellery which was accepted and is currently being displayed in the Greenhouse Gallery
