9ct Filled Gold and Amethyst Floating Bead Necklace

A lovely amethyst necklace made from 9ct filled gold – we call this a floating bead necklace.

This style of necklace is made up of amethyst beads which “float” on a wire and create a fun eye-catching style. Each amethyst bead is held in place by 9ct gold-filled crimps which allow the beads to move slightly on the wire.

Amethyst is Februarys birthstone. Amethyst is reputed to have soothing and meditative properties. It is also said to aid sleep and good dreams. To learn more about amethyst see this article by the GIA.

Please note that the filled gold crimps are made from a 9ct gold shell which is ‘filled’ with ‘base’ metal. This created a much stronger crimp than solid gold crimp beads, which would be far too soft. The rest of the findings on this necklace are solid gold.

This necklace is approximately 16″ long.

This necklace comes individually packaged in a branded gift box.

Processing Time

All of Athene’s pieces are handmade by her and her small team in their St Peter Port studio. Each piece is individually crafted with care and attention  to be made perfectly for you.

Of course, many items are available from stock but bespoke work can take longer, but it is definitely worth the wait for the end result, a beautifully made, unique piece, just for you.
